Your story is inspiring to many small-business owners out there. Could you share with us how your journey from being a full-time communications professional to a creative entrepreneur unfolded?
A: I always knew that I wanted to start a business but it took a lot of trial and error until I found something that stuck. I started posting videos of myself making wax seals on Instagram and when I started to gain a following, I knew that there was something here. Although it is hard balancing a full-time job with kids and a side hustle, I never gave up and probably never will. I’m determined to prove myself as a business owner and I’ve felt so lucky to have the support of my family and from over 100K people that I’ve never met. It’s been a dream!
Being a mom of two, and a creative business owner, how do you juggle these roles?
A: I’m so lucky to have a supportive husband that will put the kids to bed in the evenings so I can start my night working on this little business. He also helps me with our custom stamps, packing subscription boxes, and all the little things that make a big difference.

We know that your shop is your creative expression and passion. Can you share a product or a project that you are particularly proud of?
A: I’m so proud of our subscription boxes! It’s been so fun planning different themes, designing unique stamps, and putting together colour schemes. I’m so grateful to have people interested in these boxes - it truly makes me so happy! -
Your products, especially the pre-made wax seals and custom stamps, are truly charming. How do you think these offerings have enhanced people's experiences during their special moments?
A: I love working on custom stamps as these designs are truly meaningful to the customer. Whether it be a monogram of their initials or a design of their dog, I am so grateful to be a part of someone’s special moment. I also try to offer my products at a reasonable price so that anyone can incorporate wax seals in their wedding invitations or everyday stationery. -
Speaking of your beautiful products, we'd love to know how you're ensuring they reach your customers safely and stylishly. Can you share a glimpse of your packaging and shipping process?
A: Because of my full time work during the day, I usually dedicate a night to packing orders. My night begins with gathering each customer’s items, writing names on thank-you cards, and packing each item carefully to ensure that they stay safe through the mailing process. I also like to include a few wax seal freebies, not only for fun but for my customers to see the variety of designs and colours we offer! -
Maintaining sustainability in business operations can be challenging. We'd love to hear about the steps that Made of Honour Co is taking towards greener practices. Are there any sustainability initiatives that are you most proud of?
A: My goal for 2024 is to have plastic-free packaging. I’m 90% there and it all started with Impack Co’s biodegradable mailers. I’ve always wanted to go green but there were only two options for eco-friendly mailers: expensive but cute designs or affordable and black (which was not the aesthetic I was looking for). When I saw Impack Co’s mailers, I knew I had to try it out and I’m so glad I did. Their mailers are both affordable and stylish - it’s a no brainer. I’ve also received positive feedback from my customers commenting on my cute mailers! - And finally, our favorite question to ask all amazing entrepreneurs we chat with - if you had to describe your entrepreneurial journey in just three words, which ones would you pick?
